Me and Jacob booked our holiday back in February for us to jet off in the first week of the summer holidays to sunny Tenerife. We booked our holiday through TUI; all inclusive at the Be Live Experience Playa La Arena Hotel.

The hotel was exactly what we wanted it to be and exactly what the pictures showed online. The reception was massive and was so clean; we arrived in the middle of the night so we ended up going straight to bed and got up to explore first thing the next morning. There were two pool; we called one the loud one and one the quiet one. The loud one was where all the poolside activities took place led by the entertainment team. We spent most of our time there; Jacob loved taking part of all the games and I did enjoy watching them all too as well as taking part in a few.

The entertainment team were amazing throughout our whole holiday. I think the fact that we were both so willing to take part did help make our holiday experience what it was. Jacob won two of the games they did by the pool at lunchtime, one where he had to jump through a hoop into the pool as far as possible, and one where he had to hit a shuttle cock off an entertainment team's head as far as possible (don't ask). The prize being a bottle of prosecco which was very welcome to me especially since Jacob doesn't like it!

If you know me, you would know that I definitely would enjoy cocktail workshops the most, and I did! I took part in both the Sangria and the Mojito workshop and it nearly killed me off! They were so much fun though, lots of people took part and made it such a laugh.

In the middle of the week, me and Jacob booked a day trip to Siam Park, the number one waterpark in the world for the fifth year running. Now honestly, if you ever take a trip to Tenerife, you HAVE to go here!!! It was the biggest and best waterpark I've ever been to, with so many slides that were different to any others, and the BIGGEST wave pool ever that had massive waves every hour. My favourite slide was definitely the Dragon, if you get a minute, give it a google and watch the video on Youtube, I screamed all the way down! We were in a rubber ring with another couple and I think they thought I was weird for screaming so much and just spent their time on the slide laughing at me! We recommend Siam Park hugely so if you get chance to visit please do!

Lets talk about the drinks abroad. I'm not being funny, but where's imaginary line on the world that separates the UK from the rest of the world in terms of spirit measurements?! It's like as soon as you leave the UK, the alcohol measurements increase by 40% no matter where you go on holiday. You watch the bar staff pour your bev and the spirit literally fills half a glass and the mixer the other half, I can never decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Well, after Jacob had had six one evening, I think he concluded that this was not as good of an idea the morning after, as it was the night before.

Oh my word, the flight back home was the worst few hours ever though. Our flight was from 1am till 5am, and I can NEVER sleep on planes. The worst part being that Jacob can, so this made it so boring cos I had no one to talk to! I did have a little TV so I could watch a film, but who's in the mood to concentrate on a film plot at that time of day, definitely not me.

It was so nice to spend a whole week just me and Jacob. We have never spent more than 2 days together in a row before our time in Tenerife, so to have a full week together just us two was really nice, he managed to survive and he didn't kill me before the week was over! I think that because we were so chilled, doing our own thing as well as spending time together meant that it was most enjoyable. Jacob went training a couple of times as the hotel had a gym, and I'm not going to lie, I had my head stuck in a book for most of the week.

We have said it's going to be so hard to top this holiday next year as this hotel was the full package and just what we were looking for. The food was lovely with so much variety and it changed every night. The entertainment on offer was good, there were shows every night and alternatively there was the lobby bar which had chilled live music, we loved going there. The rooms were clean and so spacious and the pool area was perfect. We are already planning and looking at places for next year and can't wait to go away together again.

Thanks for reading! Keep smiling and have a great day! Liv xxx
