On 24th June me and my girls were jetting off for the best week together, arriving in Majorca by 10am and at the hotel for lunchtime. There were 9 of us including me: Maisie, Rachel, Keira, Amy, Nicole, Rosa, Charley and Laura. Our hotel was in Palma Nova, next to Magaluf, called Globales Mimosa and was all inclusive.
You would think that a girls holiday in Magaluf would consist of constant drinking, nights out and parties...but no...we drank fanta lemon, read and attended the hotel disco! (We did go on a night out, and a waterpark pool party which I will talk about in more detail further down).
I think the fact that we had all finished our A levels less than a week before, some of us literally two days ago, played a huge part in the way we spent our holiday. Yes, the week did consist of lots of cocktails, but not as many as you may think, there were no casualties or drunken antics either. Boring you may say, but I will have you know that if you came, you would have not stopped laughing for the whole week. (Next time we said we will take more money to go out more often though).
The hotel staff absolutely loved us. We took part in all their activities around the pool, including aqua gym and quiz nights. The hotel cocktails were the best, literally half alcohol and half juice...perfect! And our favourite thing at the hotel was the disco, we went three times and definitely made it a party with our singing and dancing. We will never forget the hotel dances either that they did after the aqua gym and before the disco; before we came no one participated, but as we were leaving, the whole of the hotel guests were taking part, we managed to leave our mark.
We spent two of our evenings at Reflex bar near the beach, where they had the best student deals for fishbowls and shots. All my friends know how awful I am at shots and the video of me taking a shot at the bar is the worst ever but it's so funny. I think the fact that the World Cup was on also meant we wanted to go to the bar to watch the England matches since they were doing so well. The second night at Reflex did end in a McFlurry from Maccies too.
Our night out in Magaluf was honestly one of the best nights out I've ever had. The strip, however, was definitely not my favourite place. The amount of people who actually shouted in my face was not what I want to remember, but the one place I do want to remember is the club Tokio Joe's. Literally stayed there the whole night, the DJ played every single song we would have asked for on a night out. We did attempt to go to another club called Bananas but to be honest, it stank of sick, so we went back to Tokio Joe's and it was the best decision we made. The fact I left a packed of crisps on my bedside table for when I got back that I hadn't eaten at the airport on the way to Majorca was also a blessing.
The highlight of the holiday was 1000% the pool party and waterpark day. We booked to go to AquaLand on a coach for a few hours, which then got shut to the public and turned into a pool party with unlimited Sangria, drinking games and naked slides (don't ask). After many Sangrias it so happened that Keira got stuck on a slide and I laughed so much that I fell off a wall. Ouch. Got the scars to prove it, basically like a tattoo to remember my week!
I literally loved the week so much and I am so lucky to be friends with such an amazing group of girls, we had such a laugh and can't wait to do it again next year.
Thanks for reading! Keep smiling and have a great day! Liv xxx
