What I got for my 19th birthday – 2018
I turned 19 last week! For some reason, 19 sounds so much older than 18, which is slightly stressing me out; I don’t want to get too old! I enjoyed pretty much a week of celebrations; in the lead up to my birthday I had a birthday meal and cake with my flat mates, a night out with the girls from my flat and a meal out with my boyfriend Jacob. On my birthday, Jacob and I went to the Leeds Christmas markets before travelling home for the weekend. We did actually have an eventful day; we got locked in my flat for 2 hours as the key and lock didn’t work, which was a bit of an annoyance, but funny at the same time. I had a night out with Jacob, my friend Megan and her boyfriend Sheiden, and then spent a day at Chatsworth Christmas market with my family, which was lovely and really got me in the festive mood.
I thought I would share what I got this year for my 19th birthday. I know I am such a lucky girl and I have been gifted the best presents this year, I am so grateful. I have also tried to add the links to as many things as possible (sorry if I couldn’t find it) -
Ghost tickets – Palace theatre Manchester
If you know me, you would know that I am musical mad! The first present I opened from my parents was 2 tickets for me and my Mum to see Ghost the Musical. This musical has been on my list of ‘things to see’ for ages now, so I am so excited to go and see this. I love the story, and I have listened to the songs from the Broadway album which I have also fallen in love with, so I am really looking forward to April!

I went shopping with my Mum spending my birthday money, a chose this gorgeous outfit from River Island. The body suit is so comfy and will be nice to wear with jeans and also with a skirt or pair of trousers. The culotte black trousers are such a good fit on me; I really like the cropped trouser look as I have long legs, and the belt on these trousers is really flattering. I wore the outfit on Saturday night for my birthday night out and matched with a pair of black stilettos and loved it!
Clinique chubby stick

I have had one of these since I first started contouring. I have tried other products but always end up coming back to this one. It blends out so easily and goes really well with the colour of my skin. I sometimes layer the product up for special occasions to give a more dramatic effect but just one layer of the product is perfect for an everyday look.

I am so happy to have this! With me being at Uni until 12th December, having a 12 door advent calendar meant I could take it with me so I have something to open every day until I go home for Christmas! There are different products for each day to mix in Prosecco or Gin go give it different flavours. Prosecco and Gin are my two favourite alcoholic drinks so this is the perfect calendar to lead me to the Christmas season.

Lush always make the most amazing products, but I never make time to pop in or try any! So for Cam to get me a face mask and hair mask. I can confirm that both products literally work wonders! The face mask has got my skin looking and feeling its best for the 5th day running now. The hair mask also made my hair feel so fresh and soft; can’t wait to use these over the Christmas season to constantly feel fresh and replenished.
Fluffy throw
I am so happy with this new throw that I have taken with me to Uni! It’s always freezing in the kitchen, so it’s so nice to jump out of bed and curl up on the sofa keeping warm in the mornings, or in the evenings when we have a film night. It’s the perfect size to fit over my ¾ bed and is so soft!
Nike trainers
I am such a lucky girl; Jacob bought me a brand new pair of Nike trainers. They are the perfect grey colour I like and they were chosen completely by him which make them more special. I really needed a new pair of trainers as my old ones had worn away so this was really thoughtful and I love them for wearing to Uni or work.
Paris
I really am so lucky. Jacob also paid for a 2 night stay in Paris, for us to go on Valentines weekend in February. The hotel is a 15minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and you can see it from the hotel window. We are so excited to become tourists for the weekend seeing all the landmarks. We are also going to book our trip up the Eiffel tower and a river cruise on the Seine river together.

Jacobs family got me a couple of lovely pairs of dangly earrings that I was really in need of. I only really have one pair of earrings that I wear on a regular so it’s really nice to have new ones to choose from.
