Well, here we are again. And long-time no speak. Sorry it’s been a while! Post lockdown life actually got pretty busy, and to be honest, lockdown 2.0 life feels somehow even busier. I thought I would have a bit of a catch-up and chat about some of the things that are going on in my life right now, and what I got up to in the brief month or so where life seemed to get back to some sort of normal before it sprung back into Coronavirus times again.

The last update I did was actually when I first saw Jacob for the first time after lockdown. That literally feels like a distant memory now and I genuinely can’t believe we went for such a long time apart - it kind of feels like it didn’t even happen. It does make us appreciate our time a lot more, and during the summer we did spend a lot of time together and even spent a lovely bank holiday weekend in the Lake District (which I did vlog, so check that out on my YouTube channel linked below). I am definitely planning on writing a post on our little Lake District trip in my travel section - that’s sadly as far as I have been able to travel in 2020, but the travel plans for 2021 are on a whole other level and I can’t wait!

My friends and I seemed to squeeze the entirety of 2020 meet-ups in a couple of weeks when the rules allowed us to see each other for a pretty short space of time (in my region anyway). I think overall we had a good handful of gatherings; most of them included sitting outside, with drinks in our hands and LOTS of chats and laughs. I can’t quite believe how lucky we have been with the weather (minus a lot of August) so through July and September especially, we were able to enjoy drinking in plenty of different beer gardens and bar outside spaces which was really nice after being couped up inside for the rest of the year.

(Ive put a few pics of some summer memories down below)

We are the 1999 and 2000 babies, so the second Corona wave has basically wiped out all our hopes of 21st celebrations, with already the majority of us having celebrated or will celebrate in a lockdown, or with some kind of restrictions that stopped/will stop us from being able to be together. We have, however, very spontaneously may I add, booked ourselves tickets to see Dua Lipa in Liverpool next September for very late 21st celebrations. We are definitely going to go all out and spend the weekend partying hard and enjoying our time together before we all go our separate ways again back to Uni or work, and the thought of this weekend is getting me through any times I feel rubbish about the situation at the moment.

Reality kicked back in when the rules got tighter in October, and my final year of Uni officially started. I haven’t had time to look back since really; when I say I am busy with Uni work, I mean it. I am tending to work a kind of normal working week as much as I can and try to give myself the weekend so I can have a bit of a brain break, though sometimes work does carry itself over to the weekend. I’d consider my planning skills pretty top-notch, so I schedule myself pieces of work to do each day and tend to get them done so I can move on the next day to something else. I can’t believe we are so close to the end of the first semester already - time flies when you’re none-stop!

Cam moved to the University of Manchester in September, so it has been the three of us (Mum, Dad and I) for quite a while now. It is quieter in the house, though not that quiet cos I’m at home remember! Seeing as though since he moved we haven’t really been able to do much, so he’s definitely living the high life with some sort of social life in comparison to ours!

So right now, my life consists of sleeping, Uni work, eating, exercise and repeat. I am definitely holding on for a bit of a break at Christmas, though I do work in retail. Forgot about that bit. So maybe not. But a bit of a brain rest? I will have to settle with that! I’m extremely grateful to have a job that I enjoy, and it will keep me on my toes, especially in December! My 21st Birthday is in 2 weeks and is sadly in lockdown, but I am still really looking forward to it. I’m going to take the weekend off to celebrate and enjoy lots of Zoom calls and online celebrations, and definitely update my blog on about it.

In the meantime, I hope everyone is doing ok in this second lockdown and as always, my dms are always open.

Keep smiling and have a great day! Liv xxx
