Yes…I was that girl who was whisked away to Paris for Valentine’s Day, and I could not be more grateful. We seriously couldn’t have asked for better weather with temperatures soaring above the February average and reaching temperatures usually seen in April! Can you believe I even bought a brand new coat and I didn’t particularly need it…typical! But I am certainly not complaining, it was purely bliss over the weekend.

When it came to packing outfits, I planned mine down to the socks. When you’ve only got hand luggage to play with for your short city weekend break, you’ve got to be organised. I planned my outfits weeks in advance, but literally the day before, I realised the weather looked so much warmer than I expected, so I ended up taking out the more wintery items and reducing my layers. This is the definition of a nightmare for me…I hate last minute changes to plans! But it all still worked out, thank goodness!

I managed to make my outfits pretty perfect for all weathers, the frosty mornings, boiling hot and sunny afternoons, and the brisk evenings.

Day one – Topshop Travelling!

To travel, I wore my black Topshop Joni jeans and a black Topshop jumper (which is about 4 years old so it’s pretty impossible to find a link – sorry!). Usually it’s really cold on planes but with wearing this I was the perfect temperature. I also matched this with my Adidas Campus shoes which are so comfy so I could easily walk for miles in them (which I ended up doing). When I got to the hotel to do my makeup and straighten my hair, I then added some Primark gold hoops and a Primark gold chain necklace along with my usual Michael Kors rose gold watch, my Nomination bracelet and my Pandora rings. For carrying things like tickets, my purse, portable charger and of course...lipsticks around, I used my new grey Michael Kors bag that I got for Christmas and I absolutely adore. It's the perfect size and I love the length of the straps too.

My favourite and brand new item that I bought for Paris was a new royal blue puffer coat from Quiz. The colour is my absolute favourite colour, so I was over the moon to find a coat in this perfect shade. I thought it would be just what I needed for Paris because it was so cosy and warm (even though I didn’t really need it to be so warm) and I loved the big collar. I still can’t stop wearing it now I’m home too!

In terms of makeup, I took my new Charlotte Tilbury ‘Stars in your eyes’ eyeshadow palette. On this day I used the right colour in the ‘Love eyes’ section and the right colour in the ‘Power eyes’ section through the crease and mixed the other two ‘Power eyes’ colours on my lid. For my lips, I wore a Mac lipstick in the colour ‘Patisserie’.

Day 2 – Layers For Days!

For me, this was the ultimate and most important outfit day in my trip. We had planned to do all our sight-seeing on this day and literally walked the length and breadth of the city. I decided I was going to layer on this day, with a plain grey roll neck from New Look underneath a reaaaaaally old black River Island sweater jumper saying ‘Tres en Vogue’, so I thought this was really Parisian (sorry there won’t be a link for this because it’s so old)! I wore my black Topshop Joni jeans and my Adidas Campus trainers again, with my blue coat from Quiz. To accessorise I wore the same jewellery; Primark gold hoops and gold chain, Michael Kors rose gold watch and Nomination bracelet, and the same Michael Kors bag.

The makeup I wore on this day was also from the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Stars in your eyes’ palette. I wore the same colours (right colour in the ‘Love eyes’ section and the right colour in the ‘Power eyes’) through the crease but then added the right colour from the ‘Happy eyes’ section in the outer corners of my eyes and blended it out into the crease. I also used the same colours (the two others from the ‘Power eyes’ section) on my lid. On this day I wore a Mac lipstick in the colour ‘Whirl’ – one of my favourite EVER lipstick colours.

Day 3 – Baker Boy Bold!

If I’m being honest, I was supposed to wear my new Black baker boy hat from H&M with the previous day’s outfit…but I forgot it until we were half way to the Eiffel Tower and it was too late to go back! Actually gutted but luckily it still matched with this day’s outfit. Surprise surprise… I wore my black Topshop Joni jeans and my Adidas Campus trainers. I got a gorgeous new jumper from Topshop for Christmas and wore this with my Primark gold hoop earrings and necklace, Michael Kors watch, Nomination bracelet and Michael Kors bag.

I decided to mix up my eyeshadow a bit on this day, but still using the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Stars in your eyes’ palette. I used the right colour in the ‘Love eyes’ section through my crease and blended the right colour from the ‘Happy eyes’ section in the outer corners of my eyes into my crease. I then added the left colour from the ‘Happy eyes’ section on my lid for a warmer effect. On my lips I wore the same Mac lipstick in the colour ‘Whirl’ because it’s my absolute fave! Its natural, but still gives a good bold colour – LOVE IT!
