I swear I have blinked, and 15 weeks have passed. In some ways I feel like lockdown has lasted forever and in others it has gone in a flash. To think I have woken up every morning for 15 weeks and stayed between the four walls of my home without going mad is an achievement, I think. I can’t believe this is my fifteenth update on my lockdown experience! Now that more businesses have reopened and we have entered the new ‘normal’, it feels like the best time to finish updating you all on my lockdown because I don’t really feel like I’m in lockdown as such anymore and I am starting to do more and more in my weeks.

The lead up to the weekend this week felt like forever. I knew I was going to see Jacob on Saturday, so I was kind of waiting for the weekend to come, but I filled my week with lots of things to do to keep myself busy and so the time would go quickly.

At the beginning of the week I had a lovely catchup with my friends Keira, Callum and Annabelle who I met through drama school quite a few years ago but we have stayed good friends since. We had numerous cups of tea and the time just seemed to tick by as we chatted as it had been such a long time since we had caught up in person, though we have had a couple of Zoom calls during lockdown. I also had another girls quiz on Zoom – we are keeping these going whilst everyone is still enjoying them, but hopefully soon we will be able to organise to do a quiz in person with a few drinks; maybe when the weather gets a little bit better! Where has the gorgeous weather gone?

I had a busy week working, and then also filming and editing my new video which I uploaded on Saturday – I will link the video down below as well as the link to my channel! I also worked a couple of days at my part time job and because I enjoy my job, it definitely made the week pass so before I knew it, it was finally Saturday and time to be reunited with Jacob!

I spent Saturday morning making Jacob a very late birthday cake seeing as though I missed his birthday back in April, so I wanted to give him some late birthday celebrations. We were finally reunited in the afternoon and we spent some time chilling at home before we went for a meal round at our local pub with my family – our first meal out after lockdown! I can’t even explain what it felt like to be back together again. It was the weirdest and most surreal experience of being reunited after such a long time and it took us all day to stop saying how weird it felt to be next to each other and not on a screen on FaceTime. I am so grateful that we got through the pandemic and we are both happy and healthy and now we can get back to being us again. I loved being reunited with Jacob’s family too and I am looking forward to all being together a lot more regularly and spending lots of time together.

This week I have been filming for my weekly vlog, which will be uploaded this Saturday, so be sure to watch that to see me reunited with Jacob and see what I’ve been up to this week as lockdown has been eased another stage.

I am now getting back to seeing my friends a bit more, and visiting more places, whilst still being mindful and as careful as I can. The lockdown, and the pandemic itself has taught me a lot and I am very grateful that my close family and friends have not been severely affected by the devastation of Coronavirus. I am excited for normal life to resume, but only when it is safe to do so.

I hope everyone is still being mindful and keeping safe whilst enjoying the easing of lockdown restrictions. I will be posting new content on my blog from now on instead of Lockdown updates, and I am really looking forward to writing new content. Thanks for keeping up with me during lockdown, and I am so glad I started and have continued to write these updates as they will be amazing to look back on in years to come!

Thanks for reading! Keep smiling and have a great day! Liv xxx
